Sports Leagues & Programs Specialist 

The Sports Leagues & Programs Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing various sports leagues and athletic programs for the Park District. This role involves coordinating schedules, facilitating registrations, and ensuring all programs and events run smoothly and safely. The Specialist will collaborate closely with local organizations, schools, and volunteers to promote participation and enhance the experience for athletes of all ages. Knowledge of basic field or sports facility preparation, recreation budgeting procedures, and marketing strategies to attract participants and promote sportsmanship is essential. Strong organizational skills, a passion for sports and community engagement, and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive environment are crucial for success in this role.

This is a part-time position, requiring 20-30 hours per week, with varying days and hours between Monday and Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM. Additional hours may be needed for evening programs, weekend events, and special meetings.
