James G. White represents division area 5 for the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District Board of Directors and was appointed on April 24, 2023.

I have lived all over the State of California most of my life in different mountain and lake areas and in small and large communities. I’ve lived in Crestline and moved to Running Springs in 2017. I have served several communities in many different capacities, especially in recreational programs and clubs, and also in Girls Softball in the High School JV and Varsity level. I’m compassionate about nature and wildlife and the environment. I’m also a member of the intermountain Trail Alliance, former Charles Hoffman Elementary Site Council (2020-2022), and a current member of RIMSD 7/11 SPAC Committee. Although now retired from 30 years, in my professional background I worked for the State of California in various departments such as Caltrans, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Mental Health, School for the Deaf located in Riverside, the Toxic Substances Control, and Youth Authority.

I’m dedicated to the mission of the Park District and supporting staff to do their best. Between the pandemic and the most recent storms that affected our mountain, everyone forgot what it’s like to be outside, to truly be active, and enjoy nature. Now that things are mostly back to normal, the Park District is more important than ever. “I’m excited to make our mountain communities and residents better through the services the Park District has to offer, especially for the children. We are RIM Mountain Strong, and we survived Snowmageddon 2023.”
