OPERATIONS UPDATE in Regard to COVID-19
Tentative Opening Date: May 10th

The Rim of the World Recreation and Park District is following the State of California’s public health guidelines because we are a public agency.

As we move into the orange tier, the Park District is eagerly learning and planning what we can open and how we can open in our own capacity.

We are aiming for a reopening date of Monday, May 10th. COVID-19 has changed many of our operations and procedures and therefore not all programs and services will be returning or run as they were before the pandemic began. The following information is contingent upon evolving CDPH guidelines and the direction of the Board of Directors and staff.  

As a public agency, we are working to open in the healthiest and safest way for the sake of our community. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Sunrise Children’s Club Preschool & The Enrichment Centers (distance learning hub/day camp/after school program):  
Open and following CDPH, Community Care Licensing COVID-19 guidelines, and CDSS

Facility Rentals:

Ball fields and picnic areas are available for rent. State guidelines allow small, private gatherings of people from no more than three households. Outdoor Youth and Adult Recreation/Sports/Programs must follow CDPH guidelines. Indoor gatherings and indoor facility rentals can begin May 10th at limited capacity.

Contract Classes and Recreation Programs:

Outdoor and indoor fitness and recreation programs will be available for registration May 10th. All instructors/renters,  programs, and classes will follow CDPH guidelines and operate at limited capacity. Not all programs will be available right away.

Parks (open space), Playgrounds, and Picnic Areas:
Outdoor parks are open with modifications. Please use these areas responsibly. While it’s tempting to gather with large crowds, we can all do our part to protect the residents of the Rim Mountain Communities by maintaining an appropriate distance from others.

Board Meetings:

Meetings will be accessible via zoom or in person (with modifications and safe distancing). Please refer to the Park District website, www.rim-rec.org.

Park District Office:
Currently closed. The District Office will open May 10th.  If you have questions, please email info@rim-rec.org.
